Community Fest Participants

The second day of NYCxReuse brings reuse to life through the NYCxReuse Community Fest, a half-day showcase of the nonprofit reuse sector in NYC, featuring 30 donateNYC Partner organizations who will be accepting donations, selling secondhand items, organizing demos, and leading reuse activities.

Check out the list of Partners accepting donations below and bring your gently-used clothing, accessories, and textiles to donate. And don’t forget the books—GrowNYC Stop ‘N’ Swap will be hosting a book swap!

Partners will be selling upcycled and gently-used items, too, from clothing to accessories. You may even find your new best friend at Animal Care Centers Mobile Adoption Unit.

And don’t forget your curious side—esa New York, Art Start, and Teaching Beyond the Square will be leading mending and upcycling activities for all ages.

Community Fest Highlight: ReFashion Boutique

As part of the NYCxReuse Community Fest, Housing Works will be hosting the ReFashion Boutique. This pop-up thrift shop will feature curated looks and live styling sessions by an amazing lineup of thrift stylists, many of whom worked magic at ReFashion Week 2019! Join in for shopping, learn some thrift styling tips, and enter for a chance to be styled at the event!

Participating stylists:

While you shop, each of our stylists will hold three 30-minute lightning-styling sessions and will share their thrift styling tips and tricks with attendees while revealing one look.

Interested in being styled? There are two ways to win a session.

Online: Like and follow @donateNYC and @HousingWorks and keep an eye out for a few #ReFashionBoutique posts. When you see them, tag who you would want to be styled by in the comments for a chance to win.

In person: Attend the ReFashion Boutique and drop your name in the bowl of your favorite stylist by 12:30pm for a raffle.

Shopping is open 12-4pm; styling is in session 12:30-2:30pm. The boutique will be in the back room of the Community Fest. RSVP for the NYCxReuse Community Fest to attend.
